Life Enrichment Assistant FT
An opportunity currently exists for a Full Time Life Enrichment Assistant at Prince of Peace Harbour.
Under the direction of the Life Enrichment Manager, the Life Enrichment Assistant directs and implements programs to enhance the physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual development of the residents; contributes to establishing new methods and policies to improving leisure lifestyle and promoting Supportive Living to Residents with cognitive impairment.
We are looking for someone who has experience in social and recreational programming, or a related discipline; who is innovative, creative, with a keen interest in seniors with cognitive impairment and a proven capability of relating well to residents, their families, volunteers and the community at large.
A knowledge in Therapeutic Recreation, or equivalent experience, Level 1 First Aid, and strong computer skills are required. Hours of work are typically days, but schedules may change to accommodate operational requirements and to cover vacation and could consist of day, evening as well as some weekends.
